Lights back on for a family of six
Bill paid. Added 21 Sept 2026 by Siyakhana Community Kitchen.
Mama Zodwa runs a small spaza shop from her front room, and her fridge needs power for her stock. After a break-in she lost most of her stock and could not buy electricity. This gets the fridge running while she rebuilds.
Why you can trust this case
- Siyakhana Community Kitchen met Mama Zodwa and checked the bill in person.
- The money is paid to City of Cape Town prepaid electricity, which we have checked. It never goes to a personal bank account.
- Mama Zodwa can only have one open case at a time.
- The partner must upload the receipt within 14 days of receiving the money.
